Family Adventure Programs

Lasting Adventures has evolved into the leading provider of Family Adventure Programming in the National Parks backcountry. Whether you are in the park for only a day or a week, or if your children are pre-teens and/or young adults; we are able to help you design an adventure that is sure to please all.

Since 1997 we have been facilitating youth summer camp backpacking programs throughout National Park wildernesses. In this time we have provided memorable and rewarding experiences to thousands of youth. On all of these trips, we teach and promote respect for nature and the world around us in a fun way. In 2010 we added our Guide Service which receives consistent high ratings due to our commitment to safety and customer service. In addition to knowledge of the parks they are working in, our guides receive training in positive youth development, adventure programming, and facilitating fun! Whether on a day trip or 5-day backpacking trip, it’s our passion to facilitate a family adventure full of lasting memories in which you can leave all the worries to us.

What our guests have said about our family programs:

“Great experience, great staff, great service.”

“My daughter and I had an EXCELLENT adventure with this tour! We saw the most amazing sights, we are still overwhelmed with how far we actually backpacked in just 4 days, and we can’t wait to come back and do another adventure with this amazing group of people!”

“Our family (my wife and I and two daughters in their early twenties) went on a custom 5-day/4-night Yosemite camping trip organized by Lasting Adventures. This was a great way to experience Yosemite and all of us enthusiastically recommend Lasting Adventures.”

“This trip was fantastic and Lasting Adventures was perfect for us. I would book with them again with complete confidence of a great trip.”

“My family (three adults and two nine year olds) took a 7.5 mile hike with Lasting Adventures at Yosemite in late July 2013. Our guides, Camber and Rory, were terrific. They were personable, friendly and very knowledgeable about the park, our hike and the flora and fauna.”

“My wife and 4 kids joined Scott and Braden for a full day hike and then spent an evening going to a “secret” cave. My kids loved it and both Scott and Braden were very engaging with my guys (ages 10,12,13,17) as well as aware of each child’s hiking capabilities.”

“This Lasting Adventure helped me, help my daughter and I will be forever thankful for the gift.”
